After our wonderful time in Los Angeles Lisa and I visited the Sunshine State – Florida.
As I already mentioned we came from California to Florida to enjoy time and make pure vacations. Florida in general is very famous for being the place to spend time in the sun and at the beach. Our accomodation was in Delray Beach, a graceful and charming city at the south-east of Florida.
Delrey Beach is a small city in Palm Beach County and part of the Miami metropolitan area. Many mansions on the beach front, palm trees everywhere you go and retail shops make Delray Beach a place you want to stay 🙂 Especially on the main road, the Atlantic Avenue, many small shops, bars and restaurants created a fantastic mix for both of us.
Calling for BBQ
“America’s Everglades – The largest subtropical wilderness in the United States”
The Everglades National Park is a place you definitely have to see when you visit Florida. We bought a ticket for a boat excursion. It was worth it. The park rangers are very enthusiastic about this wonderful place and give you a lot of information about flora and fauna. Driving through this sump and looking for crocodiles and other native animals is a memory I don’t want to miss 🙂
During our our boat excursion we spotted two little crocos. These giants below were presented in a show after our boat trip. I have learned that crocodiles normally do not attack humans, except the fact they feel threatened or they want to protect their younger ones.
