Austria
-Austria-
My exams are over and I have successfully survived this stressful time. Within two weeks I had to pass five exams and it worked. I am very happy about the results and now I enjoy my new free time. Although I have to work every day, it is such a great feeling not to think about exams and university, a really good feeling !
Last Wednesday, as a reward for exams, Lisa and I went to Austria to relax and hike. We booked a typical Austrian pension close to the German border.

On the first day we explored the nearer surroundings and discovered a small alpine hut. In the hut there was a book with wishes and desires from people all around the world.

On the second day we decided to hike on the Nebelhorn, one of the highest alpines in Austria. But first of all we enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the fantastic view.

Therefor, we took the alpine cableway to the middle station.

Beautiful View
From this point we took a steep path to the mountain peak.

This hiking trail was such a great challenge. On the left and on the right side the mountain is very steep and the trail we walked on was very, very narrow.

Finally we arrived on the top and took a short break.

On our last day we visited a spa to chill out and relax from our hiking trips. There were many saunas like a fireplace sauna and a very big one with a panoramic view of the mountains.

All in all hiking is a really relaxing hobby and a chance to have a rest from urban life. Moreover we were very lucky about the weather and still have something with us from our trip, a sunburn. After three peaceful days we drove home and were welcomed with a dozen traffic jams and an almost nine hours car journey- good to be back… 😉
